The Maine Association of
Basketball Coaches (MABC) and
local Maine McDonald's
owner/operators have announced
the six finalists for the 2008 Mr.
and Miss Maine Basketball
Awards.
    This award is presented
to one outstanding male and one
outstanding female basketball
player in the state, at the end of
their senior basketball season.
The award, the state's highest
basketball honor, recognizes the
player's performance on the
court, as well as their contribution
to their team and basketball
in the state of Maine.
    The award will be presented at a dinner banquet
on Friday, March 14, as part
of the program of events for the
2008 Maine McDonald’s High
School Senior All- Star basketball
tournament slated for
Saturday, March 15.

Finalists selected for Miss
Basketball 2008 are: Jill
Henrikson, Morse High Schooll;
Rachael Mack, Cony High
School; Aarika Ritchie, Lee
Academy.

Finalists selected for Mr.
Basketball 2008 are: Sam
LeClerc, Winthrop High School;
Ryan Martin, Maranacook
Community High School; and
Jon McAllian, Bangor High
School.
